The method/05
The result comes back
Ground
Ground means the result comes back.
Causal means proving what actually caused the result.
The period ends, or the deal does. Something happened, or it did not. Ground is bringing that fact back to the call you made.
Score the odds you wrote
Honest odds are a set. Calls you labeled with a similar confidence should land at a similar rate. One win does not prove the call. One loss does not settle it.
If you never bring the results back, you have an open circuit. The loop was built, and it was not proved. A closed circuit is the full loop.
Then ask what caused it
Credit says what was nearby. Cause asks what moved the outcome. Accounts already likely to buy often get more meetings and more notes. Those touches are present at the close. Presence is not the cause.
A model may draft the note around the report. It may not turn a nearby touch into a cause. You decide what the next meeting is allowed to say.
The short circuit
The short circuit here is celebrating the touch nearest the win, and never scoring the odds you wrote. The loop looks closed. It is not.
