Glossary

Each word is one plain idea. DMN means written decision rules. Bayesian means updating your odds as evidence comes in. Causal means proving what actually caused the result.

Closed circuit
A full loop. Signal came in, the decision was written, the work moved as a draft, a named person recorded the approval on the written gate, and the outcome came back to be scored.
Open circuit
Built, not proved. The route exists, and maybe the work even reached a customer, but the forecast was never scored and the cause was never asked.
Short circuit
Skipping a gate. The usual case is a draft that reaches a customer, or money that moves, without the written gate and a named person's recorded approval.
Owner load
The minutes a day the system takes from the owner. The aim is a small load, with the owner still making the call. The number is yours to measure. This site does not supply one.
Signal
What comes in before the decision. Replies, stalls, form fills, stage changes, discount asks. Named, or the pipeline review runs on memory.
Switch
The decision, written as rules, with the odds. DMN means written decision rules. You close the switch.
Current
The work that flows from the call, run as drafts. Notes, tasks, forecast edits, routing tags. Not yet with the customer, and not yet money.
Breaker
Written gates, plus a named person's recorded approval, before anything reaches a customer or moves money. The approval leaves a receipt.
Ground
The return. The outcome comes back, the forecast is scored, and attribution asks what actually moved the result.
DMN
DMN means written decision rules. A person and a system read the same table.
Receipt
The record of a release: the rule, the odds at the time, who approved, and what went out. If the next pipeline review cannot read it, the gate did not happen.
Posterior
The odds after the new evidence. Bayesian means updating your odds as evidence comes in. On a forecast call, the posterior is the number you say.
Tiebreaker
A deterministic Bayesian score the Switch reads to route a lead. Attribution, velocity, and impact go in. Same inputs, same score, and the score shows why. It is not the Breaker.
